"If you mean in other countries besides panama..."

If you mean in other countries besides Panama, then, yes. Many Central American countries rest atop the pairing of the Caribbean plate with either the Nazca plate or the Cocos plate. Costa Rica is privy to a great many earthquakes because of this.

This answer closely relates to:

Q. Do these latin american countries get earthquakes often?
since there in the ring of fire. do these latin american countries get earthquakes often?: bolivia chile colombia ecuador peru also, are there volcanoes? if, so are they active or inactive?

"Earthquakes are extremely common in both countries..."

I have only experience living in Peru and Chile. Earthquakes are extremely common in both countries. A small number are devastating, but the ones that happen on a daily basis are nothing more than small tremors. At first I was terrified each time the street or my apartment shook, but now I am able to ignore them. Also, all of the mentioned countries have volcanoes. South America has something like 204 volcanoes total. Some of these are active. Check out WIKIPEDIA.COM for interesting info.

Q. How countries can reduce the risk of earthquakes?
how countries can reduce the risk of earthquakes and the potential damage which they can cause. japan is a useful country to look at and to consider its official earthquake day’ on 1st september every year. california is also a useful area in the usa to investigate. japan is an medc and california is a state in an medcs how/if ledcs can reduce the risk of earthquake damage, haiti could be a useful example.

"We can not stop earthquakes but we can stop its impact..."

Japan stands on some suspension technologies and some aluminium rods. We can not stop earthquakes but we can stop its impact. We can make insurance policies and some backup plans. It would better if we choose places will low tectonic activities to make homes and cities.

Q. What's the difference between earthquakes in poorer countries and richer countries?
i already know a few facts: that they have less money to rebuild they haven't reinforced buildings etc... etc... etc... help please

"Poorer countries have less rigorous construction codes so buildings are far more likely to collapse..."

G'day Futureslayer, Thank you for your question. Generally, poorer countries have less rigorous construction codes so buildings are far more likely to collapse. The warning systems are better in developed countries although there is always going to be limited warnings. Safety standards in developed nations such as the United States and Japan have evolved over time. I have attached sources for your reference. Regards

Q. Christians, why do you live in earthquake countries, countries succeptible to earthquakes?

"Not living in an area where earthquakes are going to cause issues is virtually impossible..."

Technically, if you are on earth, you are in an area that can be affected by the results of an earthquake. Considering that the entire west coast of both the North and South American continents is a fault line and that any coast line can be affected by the effects of an earthquake (actual quakes where fault lines are found and tsunamis), not living in an area where earthquakes are going to cause issues is virtually impossible, unless you move to a landlocked country. But even then, it can still happen. In most cases, having access to the oceans is key to international commerce, as 85% of all imported and exported goods has to travel the ocean at some point. One of the most active fault lines is the San Andreas, which can cause earthquakes to be felt from Mexico to Washington state. If you move away from fault lines you are at risk of other natural disasters. The point is, you are not safe from the earth as long as you live on it. It all comes down to what calculated risk you take by choosing where you reside. Sometimes the risk of living on the side of a volcano is far outweighed by the fact that you are also living on a beautiful island.

Q. How do women feel about being blamed for earthquakes and other stuff in islamic countries?
apparently, if we made american women dress up in niqabs and burkas, we wouldn't have earthquakes or wars anymore. anyway, how do women feel about being the cause of all this stuff in the world?

That doesn't surprise me in the least. They're still living in the middle ages over there.

Q. How do countries respond to earthquakes?
for geography but how do they actually respond?

Every country reacts differently. Some have emergency action plans in place to battle disasters. The USA requires companies and the government (local, state & federal) to have in place plans to assist in the event of a disaster. You would look at the region a disaster happened in and establish if you can get there and by which method, air, water, land. Do you need the national guard or the military to assist or even the corp of engineers. What area is closes to suppy food, shelter, medical aid. Many things come into play concerning emergeny plans.

Q. What countries had earthquakes in 2012 . . . 10 points : )?
i need a list of the earthquakes that we have had so far in 2012, i know there is a few of them and google isn't helping. thanks in advance !

"And there is no way to predict earthquakes..."

No way to answer, since 2012 is almost 2 years in the future and there is no way to predict earthquakes . Maybe that's why Google isn't helping, it can't go into the future. But Google did give me this list for 2010: Haiti 1 - January 12 Chile 2 - February 27 and March 11 Turkey 1 - March 8 China 2 - January 18 and January 30 Argentina 1 - February 27 Indonesia 1 - January 10

You like that one, did you... They're "thought" to be the cause by a group of people that wouldn't mind strapping a bomb on a 5-year old's back, and send the child into the midst of people they want to destroy...O.o That's logic for ya...
