Q. How much money should i bring to the beach? i am going to panama city beach for 4 nights (5 days) in a week or so with my friend. and then we are driving to miami for 3 nights (4 days). so 7 nights and 8 days, how much money should i bring for food and entertainment? the room is paid for and i dont have to worry about gas or anything like that but i dont know how muchmoney i will need?
"Never carry a lot of cash on a trip..."
Never carry a lot of cash on a trip. Load up your checking account and use a debit card. It's expensive down here, especially Miami Beach.

Q. Why panama city has a boom in highrise building construction? i noticed that panama city has a lot of high rise building construction projects, most of them over 250 meters high, that will bring panama city to hold the tallest buildings in latin america
but, how? why? the world is in crisis and where all that money comes from???
"They are referring to panama city..."
They are referring to Panama City, Panama. However I must point out that the boom is gone. Sure they're finishing the projects that already had financing in place, but trust me there aren't a great number of investors looking to relocate or invest in real estate as is, and there's also a considerable number of people that can't close on their purchases, and are desperate to sell at break-even prices.
Most of the boom started somewhere around 2003, and it's peak was around 2007 when prices topped out at $3,000 USD x square meter for waterfront/bay front property.
When the bubble started to burst in South Florida, the local banks in Panama tightened up their policies and the prices started to drop, as financing was limited to $1,500 x square meter.
The prices haven't bottomed out just yet, as there are still some number of South and Central American investors that are using the immigration loop hole that real estate investment allows to opt for permanent residency in Panama City, specially from those countries that have been influenced by leftist governments.
However I wouldn't recommend Panama Real Estate as a short term investment. If you're thinking relocation or mid to long term, you might give it a shot depending on the property and its location.

Q. How much money to take to costa rica and panama? i'll be in costa rica for 8 days and panama for 9 days in december 09/january 10. i've paid for everything but am not sure how much money to set aside for shopping/expeditions/etc. i know i want to go on a zip-line, go hiking, etc for fun but am not sure how much all of this costs, as well as the souvenirs that i'm going to bring back. so if anyone has been to either of these countries and has suggestions for the amount of "fun" money to bring it would be a great help!
"Check out bocas del toro in panama for some awesome outdoor fun!..."
Costa Rica is substantially more expensive than the rest of Central America, so to do activities such as zip lining and guided hikes, you will pay near American prices. I would say the minimum you would want to bring would be 250-300 dollars if you want to do things like go on snorkeling boat tours and swim with dolphins (at least $50), zip lining ($50-100 in Costa Rica), guided hikes ($30-100 depending on the length of the hike), etc. Most souvenirs aren't too expensive if shop around and compare prices. Check out Bocas del Toro in Panama for some awesome outdoor fun!

Q. How much do i need to bring on spring break? sorry i know this isn't in the best category for the question, but ya'll aren't sitting around on the travel section.. haha
i am going to panama city beach tomorrow.. how much money do you think i need to bring??
-- my hotel is paid for. as far as traveling we are splitting the gas between all of us, and i'm not including that in this amount.
how much would you suggest for food, alcohol, entertainment... etc.
"Camera money &..."
not much bikni tooth brush , camera money & couple boxes of condoms

Q. We are a gay couple and i have a job offer in panama city, fl. i hear it is a homophobic city, is this true? the job is a great job and would make 15k more a year than i make now. it is likely that my partner can transfer and he would make the same annual salary he does now, but with no state or local taxes in fl he would still be bringing home more money. i'm looking to move away from the midwest as i am sick of winter and would like to be within 2 hours of the beach. i'd prefer orlando but only job offer there is a 12k cut for me which i don't think we can afford. is it worth the extra 20k bring home pay a year to live in a town i hear is very homophobic and racist... oh and be like almost the only gay couple....
"About a hour or so away from panama city and its a dead area..nothing..."
Anywere in florida is racist and against the LGBT down south is in general. I live in Jacksonville Fl & I am black and a lesbian (stud) my girlfriend is a lesbian (fem) and lives in deltona I used to live in orlando but due to money reason my mom relocated here. I have never been gay-bashed but gay men get gay-bashed 100% more then lesbians. I lived in pensacola fl which is about a hour or so away from panama city and its a dead area..nothing to do a lot of white people and people will stop and stare if you put that out there about being gay.

Q. Sandpiper beacon resort, panama city? my friends and i are thinking about heading to sandpiper in panama city this march for spring break. i was just wanted to know if anyone had been there and what they could tell me about the place to see if its worth the money? also i was wondering how you get drinks at the tiki bar during the day. i recently turned 21, but i fully expect to get carded. so am i going to have to bring my i.d. around with me all day when i am at the beach or the pool? any answers would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
"Every day and night there was something going on from contests to games and..."
Myself and all of my girls always stay at the Sandpiper Beacon for Spring Break! Like the guy said its is the place to be! Every day and night there was something going on from contests to games and the best drinks on the beach. If you stay at the resort, every night is like your a VIP and you get in FREE and never have to wait! And there are lines because even people staying at other hotels go to the Tiki Bar. Whats cool is that they usually have spring break lanyards that hold your room key and I would always hold my ID in it too so i wouldnt have to worry about it. But you and your friends should definitly check it out! have you seen their website? www.springbreakfunplace.com
What time in march are you going?
We've already booked for March 6th!!!

Q. This one's for people living in/near of always visiting panama city fl? alrighty, me and my family (5 of us) are going to be checking in on sat. july 4th in our majestic towers condo for a week. but we have july 3rd off of work, and would love to go ahead (hopefully of some of the 4th traffic) and travel down there on the 3rd. but we'll need a place to stay. and since we are already spending all this money on the condo, we need it to be a cheap place. doesn't have to be in panama city beach, just maybe panama city (before you cross the bridge so to speak). so, does anyone down there, or that goes down there regularly know of like the cheapest hotel? doesn't have to be super nice, would prefer not to have bugs crawling on us or anything, but doesn't have to be huge, we'll bring an air mattress if it'll say us money for that night. we're not looking to spend over say like $100 for the night. anyone have any ideas? we just want to go ahead and travel down there friday, stay the night then move our stuff to the condo on saturday. thanks for any/all answers!
p.s. i would zap you if i could !!!
oh and to zell-blah-blah-blee-blue whatever your screen name is, the snow biz ladee is hott and you are soooo not awesome!!!
"There are a few places in panama city with good rates..."
There are a few places in Panama City with good rates. The night you are looking for will be the most expensive night of the entire year. Some local hotels are already sold out. As you can imagine the rates are based off demand. Check out http://www.panamacityhotelscheap.com. They have the lowest online rates. Good luck!

"""I was late my dear"". How are you today? I hope you are having a good time now. I've been thinking of you.
