The worst months in Panama are equivalent to the best months in Miami as a comparison. The great things is that even in the off months the temperature is still 85 every day pretty much. You will NEVER be cold in Panama.

Don't worry, some people just aren't smart enough to do a simple google search. Saturday and Sunday are both 94F with a 60% chance of thunderstorms and rain. Probably not a great time to be on the beach

It might be fine to lay out on the beach, but the water temp is going to be chilly, the average for this time of year is 63 degrees. might be cold.

Extremely hot, sticky, humid and wet! take shorts, tees, light clothing, dark anti UV sun glasses, insect repelant, sunblock, drink plenty of liquid and if you have time, go to the wonderful beach resorts they have there! I went to Decameron, had a great time. Ah, also visit the Miraflores locks (Panama canal) which is a work of art.

I live on the Florida panhandle. On average it's pretty chilly thru March. By the water, it's even feels colder. Very windy along beach.You need to bring a good cross-section of clothing, to layer up or down with plus jackets, sweats, sweaters, good walking shoes, etc. I wouldn't expect the 70's. If it's a warm year, it might get in the mid to upper 60's, but only if it's a warm spell, but expect the upper 50's. That's more normal. (Accu Weather lists average Feb temps for here as high of 65 for day and low of 39 at night.) And the water is far too cold for swimming. (it doesn't warm up til mid to late April.) Also expect rainy weather as a possibility.

Go to the closest mountains. Cerro Azul, there it's cool and windy. Or Cerro Jefe, there you can see both the Atlantic Ocean and the Pacific Ocean, if there are no clouds

I live in tampa, but am originally from PA. I am used to colder water. Most natives of tampa don't swim until the later part of the spring/early summer. The water will probably be somewhere around 60-70 depending on the rain we get. Great time to come to florida though, still nice and cool until may/june (70-80)

this is our first time to panama. we will visit soberania park area near pan. city, but wanted to see another part of the country as well. we are avid birders. recommendations for other areas are welcome, interested in slightly cooler weather, hopefully not constant downpours.

Bocas is on the Rainy Side. It rains there almost everyday, even in the "Dry" season. The Smithsonian Institute has a research facility there and they give bird tours. I've put a link to their site below. For closer to Panama City birding, take the road to Gamboa and ask to get off at Pipe Line Rd. A stroll down that dirt road through the forest holds the record for most bird sightings in one day, over 500! You have to be very quiet and no talking or wearing bright colors. As you know, you see more the earlier you go. You might want to go to the drop line tourist attraction on the road to Gamboa. I've not done it, but it should be good. Also ask about the Smithsonian Institute Research Station at Barro Colorado Island, which is in the middle of Gatun Lake, the lake that was formed by damming of the Chagres River, when they built the canal. It is an amazing island. I've been there and walked the Pipeline Road too. They have tours to that island . I've attached a link to their website. You can call them and arrange a tour. Their pier is close to the Pipeline Road. One day a week, they share a lecture with anyone who wants to go. Its free. You can have dinner there and then listen to the lecture and take the ferry boat back to their pier. You could spend a whole day in Soberana Park, and a day on the Pipeline Road and one day on the Colorado Island. You will be risking the usual afternoon showers, They only last for about an hour and then back to the usual partly sunny skies. I've walked in Altos del Maria too. You will have to get permission and that might be difficult. But just to walk through the area will be an awesome day. It is very hilly and all up and down. Getting there and back will be difficult if you don't rent a car.
