The president of Panama, Martin Torrijos, will be meeting with the King of Spain, Juan Carlos, and Spain's President Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero next Monday.
During the brief two day trip to the capital, Madrid, the Panamanian president will visit the Spanish Senate and meet leaders from the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations.
At the top of of the agenda for Torrijos will be an effort to have his country removed from Spain's list of uncooperative tax havens along with issues such as the possibility of Spanish firms participating in the construction of the new lock system needed for the Panama Canal expansion project.
