Cerro Viento is an up-and-coming residential neighborhood whose showpiece is the Panama Golf Club, a private golf course that has hosted the Nationwide PGA Tour, and is renowned for its challenging course. Cerro Viento also houses several bilingual schools, including the International School of Panama, the St. George International School, the I.E.S. Cerro Viento and the Colegio Bilingüe Cerro Viento. Housing is reasonably priced in this middle-class neighborhood, and residents have easy access to the Northern and Southern Corridors, two of the city's major roadways.
This area is located close to the Tocumen International Airport, and the future Metro Mall, under development by the same group as built the successful Multiplaza in downtown Panama City.
